Present your research at UIC's 2nd annual Women’s Health Research Day on April 21, 2015. We invite authors to submit poster abstracts for original research in any area that focuses on women’s health or sex/gender differences, including basic science, clinical and translational research, and community and public health research. Awards will be given for best undergraduate student poster, best graduate/medical student poster, and best poster by a faculty or staff member.  In addition, two exemplary abstracts will be chosen to give oral presentations at the event.

Abstract submissions are welcome from junior and senior investigators in all areas focused on women’s health or sex/gender differences. Authors with original research, including basic science, clinical, translational, epidemiology, health behavior, prevention, community health or health services research are encouraged to apply. Interdisciplinary research projects that demonstrate broad collaboration across disciplines are highly encouraged. Abstracts will be reviewed for research originality, scientific rigor, and women’s health relevance. We welcome submissions of abstracts presented recently (past year) at local, national or international conferences, as well as abstracts of never-before presented research findings.

WHO CAN SUBMIT? Any member of the UIC community or community partners working with UIC faculty/staff/students with original research on women’s health or sex/gender differences.

Award recipients must be employed at UIC or be a UIC student at the time in which the award is redeemed.
